A Force To Be Reckoned With!

The PRCS Netball Team was born in 2000, the year Pasir Ris Crest Secondary was established. Viewed as one of the pioneer Co-curricular Activities in the school, this CCA is one that is like no other. A sports solely for young Crestian ladies, this CCA is a force to be reckoned with. With a strength of less than 15 in 2000, this team has since grown tremendously to the current 46, scaling new heights to clinch the 2 nd and 3 rd position in the East Zone Inter-School Netball Tournament 2005 for B and C division respectively.

The prime mover behind these achievements is none other than Mr Marimuthu Sandanam, HOD (PE/CCA). Launching the team in 2000, he took on the responsibility of coaching the team, motivating them to take part in all competitions. Making its first appearance in East Zone Inter-School Netball Tournament in 2001, the team has since brought tidings of joy and glory to the school.

In 2003, Ms Vivien De Silva formally joined the family as the coach. Together with Mr Sandanam, the team has, and will continue to scale new heights in the coming years.
