SYF Central Judging Competition 2005 - SILVER!

The school Guzheng Ensemble was founded in 2001. Our virgin performance was in the next year 2002 during our school's Official Opening Ceremony together with the Chinese Instrumental Orchestra group.

We are proud that we have consistently achieved the Silver standard for SYF 2003 and SYF 2005.  In the year 2004, we sent 2 groups to the East Zone Guzheng competition in Dunman High and came back with a Gold and a Bronze. We owe this achievement to our team of committed instructors, supportive seniors and sectional leaders and the hard work of the teachers and members. We aim for a Gold in SYF 2007.  

Our members are committed to serving the community. Hence on 10 July 2005, our members performed at the Pasir Ris East Community Building Open House. The group will now focus on providing a platform for its members to be exposed to public performances. The Guzheng Ensemble, in collaboration with the Chinese Instrumental Orchestra, is scheduled to perform in the ‘Resonant with Music' Concert Series, open to a public audience, on 30 August at the Singapore Conference Hall.

Currently, we have 31 members from Secondary 1 to 3. We work hard and play hard. We wish our Sec 4s the best for their upcoming exams.
