SYF Central Judging Competition 2005 - BRONZE!
The Dance (Modern) Ensemble was one of the few performing groups first formed in 2001. Despite being very young, this group of talented Secondary One dancers clinched a Bronze Award at the SYF Central Judging Competition 2001.
With the same commitment and diligence, the dance ensemble went on to further impress the judges at the SYF Central Judging Competition 2003 and won the Silver Award.
From our humble beginnings, the dance ensemble has worked hard to become the 60- member strong group you see today. Our dancers are exposed to different genres of dance ranging from classical to hip hop, and even choreography. All are given the opportunity to showcase their talents at the many school events that we participate in.
CCA practices are conducted on Tuesday from 4.00 - 6.30 p.m. in the school dance studio under the guidance of an accomplished trainer and choreographer. Dancers who are identified to represent the school in the SYF will also have to commit themselves to additional Friday practice sessions from 4.00 - 6.30 p.m.
