Dear Crestians, Welcome to Pasir Ris Crest Secondary Welcome to our Caring Home ! It is with excitement and anticipation that I welcome all Crestians back Home and all new Crestians to your new second Home . Since its inception in 2000, PRCS has been committed to providing value-added all-round education to all students in an environment that is supportive and caring. PRCS has made its mark in the community as a school where its staff is tireless in inculcating values and building character of its students through daily interactions as well as through special programmes such as the Level Camps, NYAA-related programmes, Co-curricular Programmes. PRCS has also stood out as a school which has supported its students in achieving their academic aspirations and value-adding to their achievements. As PRCS enters into its second decade, it is my aspiration to build on the foundation laid by the earlier 2 Principals, to lead ALL Crestians to realise their potential so as to become citizens of tomorrow, who are the pride of their family, society and nation. Think Different, Think Crestian This is the theme chosen to guide us for 2010. Why Think Different? As we live in a rapidly changing world and confront new challenges, we should not rest on our laurels but strive to think differently…. to consider new perspectives, to problem-solve, and to create. It is also because we live in a rapidly changing world that we should Think Crestian. We must remain rooted in and continue to be guided by our core values in our everyday life. We must be Pro-active: to take initiative when the situation calls for it and to embrace the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. We must be Righteous: to be able to tell the right from wrong and to champion truth and justice. We must be Caring: to show empathy and love for those less fortunate than ourselves and to reach out to others in need. We must be Self-motivated: to set and strive to accomplish goals on our own accord. As we enter 2010, there will be opportunities for you to stretch your intellect and hone your leadership competencies. There will also be challenges to test your values and build your character. To our senior Crestians, may you continue to believe in yourselves and to work hard to achieve your goals in 2010. To our new Crestians, welcome again and do embrace your new Home and give of your best as you embark on your journey into secondary school life at PRCS and as you pursue and realise challenges in 2010 and beyond.
